Next week is break!
We have been finishing up our units in each class. Physics just finished Forces and Biology finished Cell energy. When we come back from the break we will review to refresh our minds and get us back in the school mode. In Biology we will have a test on March 3rd over Cell reproduction I hope everyone has a nice break! Biology-
This week we continued our Ecology unit! We learned about the types of succession and did a project on human impact. Next week we will have our first test on the 25th. This will cover cycles, symbiosis, populations, succession and human impact. Physics- This week we got into distance, displacement, speed, velocity and acceleration. Next week on the 25 we will test over those subjects! Welcome to my blog! This is where I will post weekly updates on what the classes are doing and if there are any upcoming events.
I look forward to a wonderful semester with you all! There are only 2 more weeks of school! Make sure you check CTLS and see what you are missing!
For physics we will continue learning about Circuits and Electricity next week! For biology we have our EOC this upcoming week the 6th and 7th make sure you use the resources I provided to you and have posted! Get lots of rest! We tested over our Work/Energy unit this week! before the break we started to look at our simple concepts of electricity. We started with Ohms law, when we get back we will get into circuits and delve further into how electricity works!
Though this week was cut short we were able to get a good start on our new unit. We have started our Evolution unit with our bird beak lab! Students had fun and got competitive, we were able to link this to our natural selection topic. Next week we will get into evidence of evolution!
Though this week was cut short we still were able to get as much information as possible! In physics this week we started to look at work and power equations. These were very similar to us so we have mastered those quickly! Next wee we will go into work more looking at inclines, potential and kinetic energy and keep pushing through!
We have finished our current unit this Friday! All classes tested over Momentum and collision (Physics) and Genetics 2 (Biology). Next week we will begin our new unit! Remember next week you do not come to school on Tuesday!
For physics this week we have been going over momentum and impulse equations. We have been practicing using these equations through the week and will move into collision problems next week! This will prepare us for our test that week 10-27
For biology we have had a full week of practicing all types of our Punnett squares. Next week we will get into pedigrees and karyotypes to help us prepare for our test that Friday 10-29 |
